Don’t worry – if you discover you made a mistake on your tax return after filing, you can file an amended income tax return to correct it. This includes things like changing the filing status, and correcting income, credits or deductions.
An amended return requires the original information to be submitted and the changes to be added to create the adjusted results. Amended returns were required to be mailed up until the year 2019. Any prior year returns before tax year 2019 will still be required to mail in the tax form and additional supporting pages.

What I Should Do To File An Amended Income Tax Return?
